  2. 1. The protagonist of the book is Nhamo.
    2. She goes back to village from collecting the wood for fire and tells people what had happened. She thought the leopard that changed into bush was her mother's spirit.
    3. I think this story was set in about 1990 or more because the book mentioned magazines that had image of car.

    2.after she went back to home after she finished getting wood to make a fire, she told other people what happened. she saw her mother's spirit by watchin leopard turning into bushes.

    3.i think its kind of old because they go and find some wood to make fire. these days we don’t, we just buy woods and burn them with a lighter

    4.The story is set in Africa and we can know that because before the story starts they show u a map of Africa and says "Nhamo's journal".

    5.Mhandara means a young girl in Africans.

  6. 1. The Protagonist is a lazy girl, Nhamo
    2. She would go to the jungle by her self and looked inside a hole in a rock. Inside that rock was things that she had stoled. A knife, spoons, cloth, a front cover of a magazine and other stuff. The front cover of a magazine was a women who dressed nice with a little girl. When she saw that, she thought of her mother. On the cover was some tea, bread and margarine and she pretended to pour tea, and cut breads. Then she will start talking to her mother, and ask questions.

    2. She goes to the jungle where she hides her secret belongings. She found a front cover magazine of a women with margarine and Nhamo thought as if she was her mother because she never seen her own mother due to a animal attack.

    6. I can identify the protagonist because she is who gets the most attention in the story. Also she is a very unique person in the story because she is very lazy and different from the others. She also is the only one in the story (so far) that has met a spirit relating to her family.

    1. Nhamo is a protagonist of this book. (At least till 20pg she is a protagonist)

    2. There are few things that make Nhamo believe that she is communicating with her mother. Firstly she has found this woman's picture on magazine and that woman just looks like her mom. Secondly Nhamo's mom was killed by a leopard and Nhamo has found the spirit of her mother from leopard.

    3. 19th century because if you check all those little background of this book you will find out that it's just a undevelped country. Doesn't matter about century.

    4. As you can see from some of their words, this book's background is Africa.

    6. I have no clue for this question but if I have to give an answer I would say as I read till page 25. Nhamo is a protagonist of this book because untill 25pg most of stories are based on Nhamo.

    2.Nhama goes to her special spot where she has some treasures burried. She finds a magazine with picture on the cover of a mother and daughter. Nhamo imagines this what her mother looked like, since she never had met her mother, who was eaten by a leopard.

    6. I can pretty much identify the protagonist. The first few chapters explains a lot about Nhamo. Nhamo is an "orphan" living with her Aunt and her extended family and that she is not always accepted for who she is.
