ReplyDeleteHe was loyal to Magellan.
2. Who killed Mendoza? Why? How?
Espinosa killed Mendoza by cutting the neck because he wanted the ship.
3. Who cuts the San Antonio loose? Why?
Rodrigo cuts the San Antonio to get another ship.
4. What did the sailors do to pass time on shore?
They cut down trees and built houses.
5. What is finally understood about the season? Was this good or bad news?
The season is reversed and it is bad because it is going to be more colder.
6. Describe the natives they discover.
The were tall and had paint on the face.
7. How did it make you feel when Magellan captures the natives?
Magellan was mean.

They sail south.

Ghosts and a cemetery.

It is a loss because there is no food. I think they will die.

ReplyDelete2. The person who killed Mendoza is Espinosa and that was because he needed ship so he killed Mendoza do get the ship from him.
3. The person who killed Antonio is Rodrigo and the reason is same as i said on number 1. It was because he needed and wanted the ship.
4. Sailors used the things around the forest to make stuff that they need.
5. I'm not sure.
6. They were big.
7. I felt shocked that Magellan actaully did that.

9. Marines found ghosts.

1. Captain Serrano seemed confused.
ReplyDelete2. Espinosa killed Mendoza, because he disobeyed Magellan. He stabbed him.
3. Rodrigo cut the San Antonio so that it would float away.
4. There were fistfights to pass time on shore.
5. The sailors finally understood that the weather was reversed in the opposite hemisphere. It was bad news for them, because they thought winter had just ended when it was just started.
6. The natives were taller than the sailors, and they were red.
7. I thought Magellan and the crew was stupid, because the natives might get angry and revolt. They are much bigger than the Spanish sailors and if they did the crew might die.
8. Magelleanes and his crew sailed to the South to find the passage.
9. The marines does not find people, but instead finds a cemetary. There were skulls and Mateo thought he heard ghosts whispering.
10. San Antonio was one of the biggest ships. Many supplies and men were onboard and Magellan lost many people.
