1. I think Nhamo establishes a good relationship with Tag because Tag is a playful and kind baboon. While Nhamo was gathering food for herself, for no reason Tag started to climb up Nhamo's back, this made Nhamo really happy and emotional because it had been a long time since she had been touched by something else. After that Nhamo started to follow the troop of baboons.
ReplyDelete2. A dassie is a type of rat, it's an African rodent. Dassies live in rocky areas. Nhamo hunts and kills the dassie by, waiting for it to get far out from it's den then she lunged forward to it, blocking its way back to the den. At that moment she grabs a rock and starts smashing the dassie's head until it died.
3.Nhamo changed her boat building tactics by using burning coal. She thought of using burning coal to make a hole through the tree, it actually turned out to be better and she was accomplishing more work than before. She also gave an offering to Crocodile Guts for his help.
4. The kudu had been killed by a leopard. This fact worried Nhamo because she realized not only that there was a leopard on the island but that it was close to were she lived.
5. Nhamo cured the kudu meat by by smoke-curing it. She laid out the meat on trees to speed up the work.

I think its also becuse when Nhamo was gone to get some food, Tag just got on Nhamo's back and Nhamo liked that. 6. In these day, people have a freezer to make meat freeze, so it will not rot for a long time. Some people put the meat into salt or alcahole so the bacteria dies. Some people dried up the meat, and by that, some people make beef jerky.

1. I think one of the reasons is that Tag reminds Nhamo herself, because Tag's mother was acting like Nhamo's grandmother. Tag always made Nhamo feel better when she was in a bad mood. The most important reason though is that Tag was the first one to touch Nhamo in such a long time. She felt that she's not alone after that.
